Wagner Amorim possui uma história marcada pela dedicação ao serviço social e espiritual. Ele relatará que seu primeiro contato com o Confecap ocorreu há quase 15 anos, durante uma reunião de pastores realizada em Brasília. Na época, esse encontro foi decisivo para sua entrada na capelania. “Realizamos um curso em uma congregação que eu pastoreava e, posteriormente, outro curso na sede da denominação onde eu servia como obreiro”, afirma.
Ao longo dos anos, sua relação com a instituição se fortaleceu ainda mais. Wagner também destacará a aproximação com o Capelão Washington, presidente internacional do Confecap, figura central na expansão global da entidade. Essa parceria abriu portas para que ele integrasse a diretoria da instituição no Brasil, contribuindo diretamente para a formação de novos capelães e para o fortalecimento das frentes humanitárias.
Atualmente radicado nos Estados Unidos, Wagner Oliveira Amorim lidera o CONFECAP/USA e está empenhado em ampliar e consolidar o trabalho de capelania no país norte-americano. Sua atuação envolve capacitação de voluntários, fortalecimento de redes de apoio e construção de parcerias institucionais voltadas ao atendimento espiritual, emocional e social de comunidades diversas.

This Friday, at 5:30 p.m. (Brasília time), the program “Edílson Correia Em Comunidade” will feature a special international interview. Wagner Amorim has a life story marked by dedication to social and spiritual service. That encounter was decisive for his entry into chaplaincy. “We organized a course in a congregation where I served as pastor and, later, another course at the headquarters of the denomination where I worked as a minister,” he explains.

Wagner will also highlight his connection with Chaplain Washington, international president of Confecap and a central figure in the global expansion of the organization. This partnership opened the door for him to join the institution’s board in Brazil, contributing directly to the training of new chaplains and the strengthening of humanitarian initiatives.
Currently based in the United States, Wagner Oliveira Amorim leads CONFECAP/USA and is committed to expanding and consolidating chaplaincy work throughout the country.
